Week 35

Okay, so today officially marks Week 36 but I'll catch you up. We have a potential induction date of November 3rd!! YAY! I say "potential" because we have another sonogram coming up plus our now weekly OB appointments and based on those the date could change... or she could decide to come early. Right now we're basically playing the waiting game and trying to get as much done as possible. Her nursery is ALMOST completely done, we've been doing LOADS of baby laundry and we finally set up the Pack 'N Play in our room. Seeing that in the corner is a huge reality check!

Last week I had my girls baby shower which was great. Kori made my favorite pumpkin cake and I was in heaven! It was a low key event, but I loved every second of it and all of Melon's presents were just perfect.

Kori painted the pumpkins for little Melon!

The morning of my shower was our pregnancy photo shoot! One of my very best friends, Laura, a talented computer designer who does photography as a hobby (and is amazing!), offered to take some pics of us. We went on a walk and stumbled upon the Reston Farmer's Market, which couldn't have been more perfect. Here's a little preview of our shoot:

I can't wait to see the rest of the pics and share them with you!

Everyone is asking me how I'm feeling and honestly I feel pretty great. I definitely am getting bigger by the day and I often wonder how I can grow anymore. I feel uncomfortable sometimes... especially now that she's dropped and is putting so much pressure on my poor bladder. I'm just really ready for her to get here!! Here is my, "I'm tired and going to sit my butt on this couch for the rest of the night" face:

Another recent highlight: Melon's first Redskins football game! It was very exciting as the Skins came back in the 4th quarter to tie it up and won in overtime by a field goal! Pool little Melon was probably wondering what the hell was going on as I jumped up and down in excitement!! HAIL TO THE REDSKINS!!

The belly at 35 weeks:

How big is Melon at 35 weeks?

A honeydew melon!! Melon has officially reached melon status!
