She has had a busy two weeks! She had her first Redskins experience at Fan Appreciation Day. Being the huge Redskins fan that I am, I was very excited. However, after a long walk from the car to the field in the hot sun I thought that maybe this idea I had was not so great. The makeshift store they had set up was disappointing, the BBQ we ate was subpar and the shade was nonexistent. Not to mention the fact that they didn't even scrimmage. So next year when I get excited about Fan Appreciation Day I'm sure Ben will remind me how not worth it the trip was. (And how much better the Panthers' Fan Appreciation Day is :P)
Melon also went to her first concert! She's heard live music before, but this was the first time we actually attended a legit rock concert and boy did she enjoy it! Ben and I first saw Kings of Leon live in Chicago at Lollapalooza last year when we went to visit his brother, Andrew. We had the best time there and KOL have since been a favorite of ours. I think they are a favorite of Melon's too because she was kicking away at the concert! Other than having to move a few times thanks to the numerous smokers, we greatly enjoyed the show.

This past weekend we had our childbirth education classes, so needless to say, our brains are overflowing with information. We learned everything there is to know about having a baby in the span of two 4 hour classes. Don't worry, we took notes ;) At the end of our first day we were just about to practice breathing techniques when a woman's water broke! Talk about having everything fresh in her mind while she gets whisked away to Labor & Delivery! She ended up having a healthy baby boy about 10 hours later.
Soon enough that will be us (12 weeks... aahh!)! We are so excited, but in the meantime, we still have a lot to do to get ready for Melon's arrival. Once we get the nursery all set up we'll be sure to post pics. Labor Day Weekend is officially "Project Nursery" so if you don't hear from us we're either painting or sleeping.
Shout out to the Johnson Family: We wish we could have been with y'all at the reunion in Utah this past week. We thought about you a lot and wondered who was winning the most Scrabble games ;) Love you!
Oh I totally forgot to blog about our time on the Eastern Shore a few weeks ago (preggo brain). So rather than making this post ANY longer, here are a few photos:
